Wristwatch Rescue is a vintage wristwatch restoration channel run by Rich, an amateur watchmaker documenting the repair, servicing, and revival of mechanical wristwatches. Each video focuses on rescuing non-running watches through full movement tear-downs, cleaning, lubrication, timing, and case restoration bringing forgotten watches back to life.
Seiko 6139 "Pogue" Restoration
Join Rich as he restores a Seiko 6139 "Pogue" that actually worked with the original Seiko "Pogue" owner Bill Pogue. Jim the owner of this watch was a Nasa engineer that worked at the cape in the late 1960's and 1970's he worked with Bill Pogue and liked his seiko 6139 so much he purchased one just like it for himself. after years of neglect and a failed attempt to fix his Seiko rocket engineer Jim put it in a drawer and forgot about it.
